This Symposium of the 29th Annual
Congress of the European Accounting Association aims to stimulate a
debate about the factors affecting the production and dissemination of
accounting academic knowledge. The purpose is to gain insights into the
institutional features of the academy, the production of power, and the
practices of theorising (for more details see
section on EAR Special Issue). Our Panel of discussants
